

Actor and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut recently revealed why she was absent from the Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant wedding, an event which was attended by the who’s who of Indian film fraternity.
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana said that she missed the Ambani wedding as her own brother was tying the knot on the same day. “I got a call from Anant Ambani, and he is such a lovely boy. He told me, ‘Come to my wedding’. I said, ‘I have a wedding at my home’. That day was a very auspicious day and my younger brother was getting married.”
Kangana, who has claimed a number of times before of being boycotted by Bollywood celebrities, added that she prefers nor to attend ‘filmy’ weddings. “Khair, aese bhi main avoid hi karti hoon zyada filmy shaadiyon mein jaana (Anyway, I avoid attending film industry weddings). But I wish them the best,” she said.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant got married on July 12 after various pre-wedding celebrations around the globe. The wedding was attended by the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Kim Kardashian, John Cena, Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, among others.
Kangana, on the work front, will next be seen in Indira Gandhi’s biopic Emergency. The film is stated to release on September 6.
