Kalki 2898 director Nag Ashwin has reacted to the comments made by Arshad Warsi on Prabhas in a recent interview. Nag took to twitter to reply on another post and said that "Arshad should have chosen his words better."

In an interview with Unfiltered by Samdish on YouTube, Arshad had reflected on disliking the Nag Ashwin directorial and said that Prabhas' character looked like a 'joker' in the film. In the interview, Arshad had said, "Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he... He was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What have you made of him? I don't understand why they do such things)."

This spurred a controversy and war of words online with some actors from the Telugu film industry expressing their concerns on the statement.

Now, Nag has written a short note about the comments and said that it should not cause any divide between the north and south film industries. He said, “Let's not go backwards. No more north-south or bolly vs tolly. Eyes on the bigger picture. United Indian Film Industry. Arshad saab should have chosen his words better, but it's ok. Sending buji toys 4 his kids. I’ll work hard so tweets fdfs that Prabhas was the best ever in k2.”

Kalki 2898 AD released in multiple languages on June 27 and managed to do a business of Rs 1050 crore worldwide. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan.
