The song ‘Do U Know’ from Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu and Vaani Kapoor’s Khel Khel Mein was released by the makers on Thursday. Originally composed and written by Jaani and sung by Diljit Dosanjh, the party track is recreated by Tanishk Bagchi for the film. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, it also stars Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal in pivotal roles.
The music video of the song features Akshay, Taapsee, Vaani and others grooving on the track in a flashy club. The music recreation by Tanishk has some catchy beats but it goes away a little from the feel of the original track. The choreography is by Jani.
The film is a Hindi remake of the 2016 comedy Perfect Strangers. It will see Akshay reunite with Taapsee after Mission Mangal (2019). He has worked with Vaani before in Bell Bottom (2021). The film will also mark the big screen return of Fardeen Khan after 14 years.
Khel Khel Mein is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Shashikant Sinha, and Ajay Rai. It was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on September 6, but the release date was pushed up. It will now release in theatres on August 15, along with Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 and John Abraham, Sharvari's Vedaa.
