Sharvari: I am a director’s actor and I like submitting myself to the story
Sharvari recently opened up about her upcoming action thriller Vedaa and said that the film is important for her survival and growth. She also said that she is a director’s actor who likes submitting herself to the story. The action thriller is directed by Nikkhil Advani and also stars John Abraham, Abhishek Banerjee and Tamannaah Bhatia in pivotal roles.
Speaking about her feelings as the film releases this month, Sharvari said, “I am honestly just too happy right now to enjoy this moment and I can have this special moment in my life is because of my director Nikkhil Advani and his unflinching faith in me. I decided to be an actor for the love of the craft. I am a director’s actor and I submit myself to the story and that is my priority.”
She added, “I hope Vedaa becomes a huge success for us all. I am very greedy. I want all my films to be hits. I came into this industry and my first film didn’t do well after which I had to wait for 3 years because of the pandemic for my films to release and do well. That way, Vedaa is a very important film for me, for my survival and my growth.”
As per the trailer, the film tells the story of Vedaa, a young girl from an underprivileged caste who dares to challenge the status quo. In her fight against injustice, she finds a mentor in John’s Abhimanyu Kanwar, a former soldier.
Vedaa is produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and John Abraham, and co-produced by Minnaskshi Das. It will be released in theatres on August 15, clashing at the box office with Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein.
