Mr. and Mrs. Mahi gets postponed again; check new release date

The release date of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming sports-drama Mr. and Mrs. Mahi has been postponed again. The film, which was earlier slated to release on April 19, will now hit the big screens on May 31.

This is the second time the Karan Johar-backed film has had a change in its release date. Mr. and Mrs. Mahi was first slated to release on March 15, 2024. The date then shifted to April 19 and now the film will finally be released on May 31.

Karan took to Instagram to make the announcement. “Some films are more than just stories … they are so much more than celluloid love …they talk to the viewer about dreams and how many a time people closest to us can come in the way of our dreams … MR AND MRS MAHI is exceptionally close to our hearts.. and we can’t wait to share our campaign designs with you on Monday… but for now we have a release date!!! 31st MAY 2024!!! At a cinema near you!!!” he captioned the post.

Rajkummar and Janhvi also made the announcement on their respective social media accounts.

Mr & Mrs Mahi is directed by Sharan Sharma, who made his directorial debut with Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020).

When it comes to other projects, Jahnvi was last seen in Bawaal with Varun Dhawan. The actor has a slew of films in the pipeline, including Devara with Junior NTR and Ulajh. Rajkummar was last seen in Anubhav Sinha’s Bheed alongside Bhumi Pednekar and on OTT in Raj & DK’s Guns & Gulaabs. He is awaiting the release of the biopic Srikanth and also has Stree 2 in the pipeline.
