‘Tilasmi Bahein’ song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi out

The song ‘Tilasmi Bahein’ from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar was released by the makers on Wednesday. It features Sonakshi Sinha as she sways on the dance floor with her moves. The series marks Bhansali’s OTT debut and also stars Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Sehgal and Sanjeeda Sheikh in pivotal roles.

The song begins with Sonakshi sitting on a sofa in a bar along with two men with many others surrounding them. In a single take shot, Sonakshi begins to swing on the sofa as the vocals by Sharmistha Chatterjee begin. Then, she gets on the table in front of her to dance and is joined later by others in the hook step. The music, composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has a peppy feel to it riding on the playful lyrics by AM Turaz.

Earlier, the first look from the series and a song 'Sakal Ban' was released by the makers.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is set in pre-independent India against the backdrop of the freedom movement and is an epic saga of love, power, betrayal, struggle and, ultimately, freedom. It will be released on Netflix on May 1.
