Garmi teaser: Tigmanshu Dhulia’s series promises teen angst, gang wars and student politics

Tigmanshu Dhulia is returning to the world of gangsters and college politics. The teaser of his upcoming series Garmi was unveiled today. The series stars Vyom Yadav in the lead and has an ensemble star cast of Mukesh Tiwari, Vineet Kumar, Pankaj Saraswat, Jatin Goswami, Vyom Yadav, Puneet Singh, Anurag Thakur, Anushka Kaushik, Disha Thakur and Dheerendra Gautam.

The teaser introduces us to Arvind Shukla (Vyom Yadav), a hot-headed young man who moves out of his hometown with aspirations to become a civil servant. He stumbles into the world of college politics, powerplay and crime. Created and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the series is produced by Swaroop Sampat and Hemal Ashok Thakkar. The series will premiere on SonyLIV soon.

Tigmanshu is known for iconic roles like Ramadhir Singh in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur series. As a director, Tigmanshu has helmed projects like Haasil (2003), Shagird (2011) and Paan Singh Tomar (2012). He has also directed web series like Rangbaaz (2018) and The Great Indian Murder (2022).
