The Purvanchal Files gets release date

On Monday, Reliance Entertainment announced the release date of the upcoming Hindi cop film, The Purvanchal Files. Helmed by Swarup Ghosh, the film is all set to hit theatres on September 22. 

Similar to the popular Hindi series Mirzapur, The Purvanchal Files is also set in Mirzapur. It is based on a cop who is posted in Mirzapur and is tasked with handling the mafia and the corrupt police system of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. 

The upcoming film stars  R Siddharth, Zarina Wahab and Govind Namdev in lead roles. Mukesh Tiwari, Shivani Thakur and Hemant Pandey round out the cast of The Purvanchal Files. 

Set to be released by Reliance Entertainment, The Purvanchal Files has been produced by Rudraksh Tele FIlms and Le Brand Entertainment. The director, Swarup Ghosh is making his Hindi film debut with The Purvanchal Files. He has previously helmed Bengali films like Warrant The Mission and Tobu Aporichito.
