Susi Ganesan's Dil Hai Gray debuts at TIFF 2023

Previously, we reported that Tamil director Susi Ganesan's latest directorial, Dil Hai Gray made history at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2023, by premiering India's first audio teaser. The film, which was the National Film Development Corporation's choice for the TIFF 2023, debuted at the festival with a special screening. 

The film stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Akshay Oberoi and Urvashi Rautela. Dil Hai Gray traces the journey of a police inspector (Vineet), investigating a guy (Akshay) who is out trapping innocent women on social media. The film draws its title from how every human has two sides to themselves when exposed to certain situations, and while some stand the test of time, some don't. Through its plot, the film's narrative touches upon the fact that not everything is black and white, and how when the time comes, even the best of people might have a change of heart.

In an official statement, Susi Ganeshan said, "I did expect this film to garner appreciation but never expected this kind of overwhelming response and appreciation from the audience who are exposed to the finest works from the world of cinema. The entire hard work was vaporised amidst the thundering sound of claps; a creator longs for nothing more. Thanks to TIFF and NFDC."

Dil Hai Gray is produced by M Ramesh Reddy of Suraj Productions. TIFF 2023 started on September 7 and will go on until September 17.
