Kareena Kapoor Khan on Saif Ali Khan’s reaction on Jaane Jaan trailer: He is extremely excited

Kareena Kapoor Khan will mark her OTT debut with Sujoy Ghosh’s Netflix film, Jaane Jaan. However, as per reports, the film was earlier announced in 2015 with Aishwarya Rai and Kareena’s husband and actor Saif Ali Khan in the lead.

At the film’s trailer launch in Mumbai today, when Kareena and Sujoy were asked what was Saif’s reaction when he saw the film’s trailer, Kareena said, “Back then I was not even a part of this film. But Saif is extremely excited about Jaane Jaan. He is eagerly awaiting to watch the film. He has seen the trailer four times and he feels that everyone has completely nailed it.”

In 2015, Aishwarya had told Bollywood Hungama that she is doing Durga Rani and the adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s novel The Devotion of Suspect X with Sujoy. “I have agreed to do Sujoy’s Durga Rani and the screen adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s Japanese novel The Devotion Of Suspect X. I don’t know which one he will start first.” Durga Rani was made as Kahaani 2 with Vidya Balan in the lead role, while the book adaptation was stalled for unknown reasons.

Speaking about Saif’s involvement with the film, Sujoy said, “Saif has a history with the film and then like a true husband shoved down his responsibilities on Kareena.”

Apart from Kareena, Jaane Jaan also features Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. It is slated to premiere on Netflix on September 21.
