Sujoy Ghosh unveils Jaideep Ahlawat’s character from Jaane Jaan

Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh took to X (formerly Twitter) who is soon coming up with his film Jaane Jaan, revealed the first look of Jaideep Ahlawat’s character from the Netflix Project. Apart from Jaideep, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Varma.

Sujoy posted a photo of Jaideep’s character ‘Naren Vyas’ from the film. In the picture, Jaideep is seen in a white shirt, black pants and black tie. He is sporting thinning hair.

“super excited to introduce you to -- naren vyas. pyaar karna koi iss se seekhey..... @JaideepAhlawat,” the director captioned the post.

The film’s trailer will be unveiled on September 5.

Jaane Jaan is a crime thriller and based on the Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino. Published in 2005, the novel is about the battle of wits between a math prodigy and his equally talented batch mate, who is probing the case of murder.

"From the day I read The Devotion of Suspect X, I wanted to adapt it into a film. It was the most amazing love story I had ever read and today thanks to Kareena, Jaideep and Vijay that story is alive on screen. We all worked very hard to tell this story and hopefully, the audience will love it as much as we do," the filmmaker said in a statement.

Jaane Jaan is produced by 12th Street Entertainment and Northern Lights Films in association with Kross Pictures and Balaji Motion Pictures. The film will premiere on Netflix on September 21.
