Just four days to go for Jawan’s release, Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday to conduct an ‘AskSRK’ session. He posted, “4 Din aur phir aapse aamne saamne mulaqat hogi! Till then 4 baatein ho jayein. About #Jawan and all things life….let’s do #AskSRK for a bit…The Sunday Session.”
Soon, questions ranging from his experience of working with Nayanthara to how he describes each of his characters in the film started pouring in. SRK also went philosophical in some answers but still kept his trademark wit and humour intact.
When asked about his latest visit to Chennai and if he would like to meet any Tamil actor or actress, Shah Rukh said, “I met Rajni sir. I met Vijay Thalapathi. Missed meeting Ajith but will do soon.” Another X user asked him on director Rajkumar Hirani’s reaction after watching Jawan trailer. “Raju sir loved it!! First one to send me a message and I have shown him parts of the film too and he really likes it. He has been very supportive,” replied SRK. Rajkumar is helming Shah Rukh’s next release Dunki.
On working with Nayanthara, SRK wrote, “She is so beautiful and such a wonderful actor. Has added immensely to her role. Hope her fans in Tamil Nadu fall in love with her all over again and Hindi audience appreciates her hard work.” Shah Rukh also described the film in another tweet, “#Jawan is a mix of mass and international class in terms of action. With some really cool Background music!”
In one of the tweets, SRK also reprimanded a user who asked him how many bookings for the film were ‘corporate’ and how many were ‘real’. Corporate bookings in movies are done by brands associated to the film who later distribute it among their employees for free. A section of social media also seems to believe that for Jawan corporate bookings are being done to artificially project that a screening is full. “#Jawan ka kitna booking cooperate (corporate) hain aur kitna real?” asked a user to which SRK replied, “Yeh social media waali ghatia baatein mat karo yaar. Have positive thoughts and good feelings for all. Better for life.”
When another user spoke about how Shah Rukh has inspired him, the actor gave his philosophy of life, “I have learnt this in my life…if the mind can conceive it…the heart can believe it…then u can achieve it. Work always like that and don’t forget to pray!”
Directed by Atlee, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Ridhi Dogra and has a special appearance by Deepika Padukone.
The film will be released in theatres on September 7.
