It is overwhelming: Avinash Tiwary on Kaala and Bambai Meri Jaan's back to back releases

For actor Avinash Tiwary, the upcoming week is special because two of his projects, Kaala and Bambai Meri Jaan, are gearing up for releases, one day apart. While Bambai Meri Jaan will premiere on Prime Video on September 14, Kaala will stream on Disney+ Hotstar a day later.

Being grateful for this, he said, “Two releases, one day apart! Wow! That’s a lot to be grateful about. Actors wait for months, years for their releases but I’m thrilled that two of my projects Bambai Meri Jaan and Kaala are releasing one after another.” 

He added, "It is overwhelming for sure but the most exciting part for me as an actor is that they are both incredibly different from each other and it gives me the opportunity to connect with my audiences differently and showcase my range which my fans absolutely adore about me."

Bambai Meri Jaan is directed by Shujaat Saudagar, and is a crime drama series set against the post-independence Bombay. The 10-part series also stars Kritika Kamra, Nivedita Bhattacharya and Amyra Dastur in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Kaala is also a crime thriller that follows the story of an Intelligence Bureau officer and a game of power in a murky world filled with crime and betrayal.
