Priyanka Chopra recently arrived in Mumbai for the MAMI film festival. Recently, she conducted a masterclass in the city titled The Mind of an Actor, which was hosted by Bhumi Pednekar. In the masterclass, Priyanka commended Bhumi's trajectory in cinema and praised her performance in Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Bhumi is known to be hugely inspired by Priyanka's growth as an actor.

Addressing Bhumi, Priyanka said, "You knew you wanted to be an actor. You knew from when you were very young that the city of Mumbai is yours and that you want to create a name in the city. This was not the case for me. I will talk about my journey as someone who was dropped into this profession as an actor and I am a hustler.  I'll do anything you give me. Either I do it 100% or I don't attach my name to it.”

She added, “I've been like that since I was a kid. So, I created my career through hustling but you are such an inspiration to me too because your journey has been so wonderful Bhumi in terms of the choices you've made, the characters that you've chosen  and just the dignity with which you support your characters.”

Priyanka Chopra went on to ask Bhumi, “How much weight did you have to put on for Dum Laga Ke?” To this Bhumi replied, “I put on more than 30 kgs, after that I stopped counting. Once I touched 95 kilos that's it!” Priyanka Chopra lauded Bhumi by saying, “You were so amazing, I mean the weight and all was great but just your acting man. You were amazing!”

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in Love Again, co-starring Sam Heughan. She is currently working on the Ilya Naishuller action comedy film, Heads of State in which she will be seen alongside Idris Elba and John Cena.

Bhumi Pednekar, on the other hand, just saw the release of Thank You for Coming. She has The Lady Killer, Bakshak and Meri Patni Ka Remake in various stages of production.
