Mohit Raina on Mumbai Diaries S2: Working with Nikkhil Advani was a dream come true

Filmmaker Nikhil Advani's (D-Day, Batla House) medical drama series Mumbai Diaries’ second season hit OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on October 6. The eight-episode series is a medical thriller based on the devastating floods of 2005 that brought Mumbai to a standstill. Mohit Raina plays the character of Dr. Kaushik Oberoi.

Speaking on working with director Nikkhil Advani, Mohit Raina said, “Working with Nikkhil Advani was a dream come true for me especially when I became a part of the OTT space. And post the first season, I now share a close special bond with him and Emmy Entertainment."

Admitting that it was challenging to work with Nikkhil, Mohit shared, "You need to understand his vision, and what he wants to do. And that is why the best part of season one was that I completely submitted myself to him. So just like an elderly figure, he held our hands and sailed us all through the whole season."

He further added that it was a great learning experience for him and his team and mentioned that it was easy to work with Nikkhil as he is very passionate about his work.

Apart from Mohit, Mumbai Diaries S2 features Konkona Sen Sharma, Shreya Dhanwantary, Natasha Bharadwaj, Satyajeet Dubey and Mrunmayee Deshpande in pivotal roles. The first part of the series depicted the story of doctors, nurses, paramedics, and hospital staff who saved lives during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

Mumbai Diaries S2 is directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Monisha Advani along with Madhu Bhojwani under the production of Emmay Entertainment.
