Alia Bhatt's Jigra goes on floors

Earlier we reported that Alia Bhatt is joining hands with filmmaker Vasan Bala for her next titled, Jigra. On Thursday, the Heart of Stone actor took to her Instagram to announce that the film has officially gone on floors. 

Sharing photos from the first day of the shoot, she wrote in the caption, "& we're rolling. Day one of bringing our Jigra to life.. stay tuned as we bring to you a piece of our hearts.. fingers and toes crossed for the journey aheaddddddd ..love, TEAM JIGRA." (sic)

Jigra is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia’s Eternal Sunshine. The film's announcement video suggested that the film is about a sister who would go to any lengths to protect her brother. While the makers are yet to announce more details about the film's cast and crew, it is scheduled to hit theatres on September 27, 2024.
