Juhi Parmar, Rajesh Kumar, Hetal Gada and Angaad to star in Yeh Meri Family

We earlier reported that Yeh Meri Family, the much-loved comedy-drama series directed by Sameer Saxena for TVF, has been renewed for the second season. 

The latest update is that actors Juhi Parmar, Rajesh Kumar, Hetal Gada and Angaad, among many others, will star in the upcoming season. Juhi Parmar plays Neerja Awasthi, an amalgamation of a strict yet overly caring mother whose world revolves around her children and family. Stating that she did not think twice before giving a green signal, immediately after the narration, she said, "I love being a part of the content that is relatable and makes one's heart smile, and this is such a story."

Rajesh Kumar essays the role of Sanjay Awasthi, a happy-go-lucky father who happily drives around his two-wheeler and always returns home with treats for his kids. While Hetal plays a teenager and elder sister to Rishi, played by Angaad. The series, set in the 1990s, offers audiences a nostalgic trip as it revolves around the day-to-day routine of a 12-year-old boy, Harshu Gupta, during his summer holidays.

According to IANS, the second season will be set in the backdrop of the winter season. The new season will revolve around the nuances of how a middle-class family from the 1990s went about their daily routine. The story will have some interesting twists as well. The second season will premiere exclusively on Amazon miniTV on May 19.
