After The Crew, Ektaa Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor team up for a film

Filmmakers Ektaa Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, who are collaborating on the comedy film The Crew, are set to join forces again for another film. Although the details of the project are under wraps for now, it is slated to release on September 22 this year.

The film is being produced by Balaji Telefilms Limited and Anil Kapoor Film Communication Network. Rhea and Ektaa have previously jointly produced films like Veere Di Wedding (2018) which also starred Rhea’s sister actor Sonam Kapoor, along with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.

The Crew, on the other hand, stars Kareena, Tabu and Kriti Sanon. It recently went on floors. Rhea recently made the announcement on her Instagram and she also said that they started filming for the film on the occasion of her mother's birthday. To her post, Kareena commented, "So ready my girl love youmy rhea." (sic).

Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, The Crew is billed as an absolute laugh-riot and is set against the backdrop of the struggling airline industry. It is about three women who work and hustle to make it in life. However, their destinies lead to some unwarranted situations and they get caught in a web of lies.
