Actor Jatin Goswami says Gulmohar was a breath of fresh air

Actor Jatin Goswami is in all awe of the experiences he has gained from the film Gulmohar. The actor plays the character named Jeetu with an ensemble cast, including Sharmila Tagore, Manoj Bajpayee, Simran, and Amol Palekar. Jatin shared that Gulmohar was a breath of fresh air for him, and he also mentioned the joy of working with such big names in Indian cinema.

The Great Indian Murder actor starts speaking with what made him take up the role, "It was easy to say yes because the script is so good. With too much focus on crime and violence these days, reading the script of Gulmohar is like a breath of fresh air for me. Most of the characters I've played have been a bit negative, so this was a very different character to play from what I've done before; it was gratifying playing this role. It's always interesting to portray different characters because it becomes more fun as you're playing something new every time; otherwise, it gets boring."

Written and directed by Rahul V. Chittella, Gulmohar marks the comeback of Sharmila Tagore after a long hiatus of twelve years. Jatin also reminisced about the joy of sharing the screen with the veteran, "Sharmila ma'am is a thorough professional and warm. She was very appreciative of my work and was protective. She used to tell stories about her time and how things have changed now. Being around her felt great; she brings so much class through her presence and aura."

Gumohar tells the story of the Batra family. The story has woven through the nuances of joy and angst of the Batras. Manoj Bajpayee plays the elder son of the Batra family, "While shooting for the film, I got the opportunity to spend time with Manoj Bajpayee. That bond we created is very special. We still meet and spend time even after one year of the shoot. If I need any advice, he is just one call away,"  Jatin added.
