Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 to release for Diwali 2024

Actor Akshay Kumar, on Friday, took to social media to announce the fifth installment of the Housefull film franchise and revealed that the film will hit the theatres for Diwali in 2024. The film will be helmed by director Tarun Mansukhani who has previously helmed Dostana and Drive.

Housefull 5 will be bankrolled by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the banner which has produced the previous four installments as well. Riteish Deshmukh is also part of Housefull 5. Housefull was released in 2010 and was helmed by Sajid Khan. Starring Riteish and Akshay, alongside Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, and Boman Irani, it revolved around a man who carried bad luck in all his endeavors.

The sequel released in 2012 with fresh faces like John Abraham and Asin, and was about four men putting all their efforts, including crooked methods to marry women of their choices. Housefull 3 and 4 released in 2016 and 2019 respectively.
