Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s chartbuster ‘Jaati Hoon Main’ from Karan Arjun (1995) still remains iconic but Kajol, in a recent interview, said that she had “no idea” of how the song was going to shape out.
Composed by Rajesh Roshan and choreographed by Chinni Prakash, the song was a sensuous number and was shot almost entirely in a barn. “I had no clue what was being done. I was told before the shot “this has to be done, that has to be done” and I did just that. Bohot mushkil se kiya, lekin kiya (It was tough to do, but I did it),” she told The Hindu.
But Kajol praised her co-actor Shah Rukh Khan for easing her into the song. “I would say one thing about Shah Rukh that he is still one of the most understanding co-stars because he understands what is uncomfortable for a woman to do and not to do and he tries his level best to make you most comfortable to do that.”
“He is the most understanding of actors that I have worked with in my whole (career). He really gets it, that, ‘This is not comfortable for her to do and it’s ok, I will figure a way out to make it as comfortable as possible,'” she added.
The actor will next be seen in Amit Ravindernath Sharma’s segment of Lust Stories 2. She is also gearing up for the series The Trial, the official Hindi adaptation of the American show, The Good Wife.
