Team Citadel India meets President Droupadi Murmu in Serbia 

We know that an Indian version of the global franchise, Citadel, headlined by Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is currently in the works. The series helmed by Raj & DK is presently filming in Serbia. The leading duo and the crew met the Indian President Droupadi Murmu during her recent visit to the country. 

Taking to his Instagram, Varun Dhawan shared a few photos of the team Citadel with President Murmu, and he captioned, "Team Citadel India had the privilege of meeting the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji in Serbia. What an absolute joy and honour to meet you, ma’am."

Citadel series is locally created, produced, and filmed in-region, forming a distinct global franchise. The first instalment in the franchise, starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden, has recently ended with the first season on Prime Videos. It has been renewed for a second season, and the next instalment in the series is the Italian part, starring Matilda De Angelis, titled Citadel: Diana.
