The final trailer of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush was unveiled at a grand event in Tirupati recently. The film, directed by Om Raut, features Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and Sunny Singh as Laxmana.

Although the previous trailer was brief, this one unveils the expansive journey from Janaki’s abduction to the epic battle between ‘good and evil’ that ensues. It opens with Saif Ali Khan’s Lankesh disguised as a sage tricking Janaki and abducting her. It then proceeds to Prabhas’s Raghav building a vanarsena and taking the battle to Lanka. Although better than the teaser, the 2 minutes 24 seconds trailer is still filled with substandard VFX and the battle sequences feel cartoonish.

At the trailer launch of the event, director Om Raut got teary-eyed and was consoled by Prabhas. He asked the producers to keep one seat vacant for Lord Hanuman. “My mother says that wherever Ramayan is being played, Hanuman will be present there,” he said, as per a report in India Today. “I am requesting Bhushan sir, Anil sir and all the producers to leave one seat vacant for Lord Hanuman. I request to keep one seat everywhere in the world where Adipursh is being screened. He [Hanuman] will come. Please sir,”

The first teaser of the film was earlier pulled down amidst a lot of backlash. The makers then released a trailer with updated visuals in May.

Adipurush will be released in theatres on June 16 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
