The trailer of Satyaprem Ki Katha starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani was unveiled on Monday. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the musical love story also features Supriya Pathak Kapur, Rajpal Yadav, Gajraj Rao, Shikha Talsania and Nirrmite Saawaant.
The trailer introduces us to Kartik Aaryan’s Satyaprem, a Gujarati boy desperately looking for a girl to wed. Amidst dandiya sequences he meets Katha (Kiara Advani), a Gujrati girl who is already in a relationship with a guy named Tapan. But Kartik can wait if this current boyfriend is just a “timepass”. Moreover, he states hers and Tapan’s wedding hashtag won’t make sense. We see Kartik and Kiara dance, flirt and finally, love blooms. They get married but there is a looming truth which might topple their relationship.
Before the release of the trailer, the makers unveiled a teaser and a song Naseeb Se for the film. They also showcased two posters.
The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora. It marks Kiara’s reunion with Kartik after Bhool Bhulaiya 2. The film will be released in theatres on June 29.
