R Balki's Ghoomer gets release date 

Ghoomer, the upcoming Hindi film directed by filmmaker R Balki, is set to hit the big screens on August 18, the makers of the film announced on social media.

The film features actors Angad Bedi and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles. Ghoomer is expected to be a romantic drama and will primarily revolve around a paraplegic sportsperson played by Saiyami. Besides them, the upcoming film also stars Abhishek Bachchan as Saiyami's coach and Shabana Azmi. It is inspired by the story of Karoly Takacs, the late Hungarian right-hand shooter who won two Olympic gold medals with his left hand after his other hand was seriously injured.

It is to be noted that Ghoomer will open 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) which is being held from August 11 to 20. The technical crew of Ghoomer consists of Vishal Sinha as the cinematographer, with Amit Trivedi scoring the music.
