Arshad Warsi to star alongside Akshay Kumar in Welcome 3 and Jolly LLB 3?

Actor Arshad Warsi recently confirmed that Welcome 3 is in the works and he will be a part of the project.

He also stated that the film will also star Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Sanjay Dutt. The 2007 directorial Welcome, directed by Anees Bazmee, had Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Mallika Sherawat, along with Akshay and Paresh. Its 2015 sequel Welcome Back featured John Abraham, Shruti Haasan and

Naseeruddin Shah, along with Anil and Nana. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Arshad said, “The scale of Welcome 3: the cost, the climax, is unreal. It is an insanely larger-than-life theatrical film which I will be a part of. It has me, Akshay Kumar, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), Paresh Rawal and lots of other people.”

The actor also spoke about Jolly LLB 3 and said that he stars alongside Akshay in the film. He said, “We start shooting in January. It is one of those films that tell you the truth of how things run in the world, good versus bad.” Speaking about why he did not star in Jolly LLB 2, Arshad said, “I have no idea. I have a feeling the makers wanted to upscale the film. I remember I told Subhash also ‘You should do it with Akshay. If you want to show the crowd in a courtroom, with me it will be 500, with Akshay you will get 5000’. Somewhere, the production people realised ‘let’s get a bigger star.’”

When it comes to other projects, Arshad was recently seen in the second season of the crime thriller series Asur. He also starred alongside Chitrangda Singh in one of the films in the Mumbai segment of Modern Love.
