Kartik Aaryan has commenced shooting for the upcoming sports drama Chandu Champion, which is being helmed by 83 director Kabir Khan.
The actor took to his Instagram on Wednesday evening to make the announcement. He shared a photo with Kabir, who is seen holding a clapboard with the film’s name on it. “Shubhaarambh. And the most challenging and exciting journey of my career begins… with the captain @kabirkhankk #ChanduChampion,” he captioned the post.
Chandu Champion is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE). The film will also be Kartik’s second collaboration with Sajid after the recent Satyaprem Ki Katha. Although the film’s plot is still under wraps, director Kabir, in an earlier interview, had revealed that Chandu Champion will be about an “unknown hero.” The film is reportedly based on a real-life story.
On the other hand, Kartik’s recent with Kiara Advani, Satyaprem Ki Katha, crossed Rs 100-crore mark at the box office.
