Dreams do come true, says Anirudh Ravichander about working on Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan

Jawan, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer upcoming actioner, marks the Hindi debut of the director Atlee, actor Nayanthara and Anirudh's first full fledged composition for a Hindi film. And on the big day of the release of the prevue, Anirudh, sharing the same, wrote a heartfelt note on his social media handle. The tweet read, "Dreams do come true, and how! We make our debut with none other than the King @iamsrk. Thank you sir, and thank you, my dear brother @Atlee_dir." (sic)

Directed by Atlee, the film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani and will also have a special appearance by Deepika Padukone.

The prevue opens with different shots of people running in a frenzy, in a village and at a metro station. Shah Rukh Khan’s voiceover ensues, “Who am I? Who am I not? I don’t know.” We see glimpses of SRK, spying on a guarded truck via binoculars, making a grand entry in khakis, leading a battalion in camouflage and supporting himself on a rifle as he sits with half his face in a grey mask. “Ready?” he asks.

We get glimpses of other characters too. Nayanthara is seen as a cop, Vijay Sethupathi intensely trains on a punching bag (he reportedly plays the villain), Sanya Malhotra is also seen filling up a syringe. The prevue is action-packed with guns blazing, fistfights atop trucks, soaring bikes and backflips. SRK is seen in various avatars: lean and cleanshaven, completely mummified in white ribbons and also bald. He even owns his bald look and dances inside a metro train, on an old Hindi number. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Gauri Khan, Jawan is slated to be released on September 7.
