
The much-hyped, multi-starrer film Project K will debut at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2023. The film will be the first-ever Indian film to debut at the prestigious event. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is bankrolled by Ashwini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies.
During a panel discussion on July 20, the makers of Project K will reveal the film's title, trailer, and release date. The event will be attended by the film's prominent cast members, including Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and along with the film's director Nag Ashwin.
In a press release, director Nag Ashwin expressed his delight about this exclusive event, "India is the home of some of the greatest lore and superheroes ever written. We feel that our film is an attempt to bring out and share this with the world. And Comic-Con gives us the perfect stage to introduce our story to a global audience."
Producer Aswani Dutt added, "As one of the oldest production houses in the Indian Film Industry, we are very proud to embark on this extraordinary journey. Joining forces with some of the biggest superstars of our nation, we are breaking new ground and pushing the boundaries of Indian cinema. This is a proud moment for all the Indian audiences who have been wanting to see Indian Cinema on the global map. Comic-Con is that world stage for us."
Apart from Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, the film also boasts an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani.
Project K, simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi, marks Deepika's Telugu film debut and her first film with Prabhas. The film reunites the Mahanati team of Nag Ashwin, cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez and music director Mickey J Meyer.
