After Ameesha Patel’s accusations, Gadar 2 director says she made his production house famous

Actor Ameesha Patel had recently accused her Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma’s production house of mismanagement and non-payment of dues to the film’s crew. The director has now responded to the claims. In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Anil said that the actor’s allegations were false and they have only made his production house famous.

“I have no clue why she said all of this,” he told Dainik Bhaskar. “All I would like to say is that this is all false, none of it is true. At the same time, I would like to thank Ameesha Patel. She made my production house famous. What can be bigger than this?” added the director.

On June 30, Ameesha had taken to Twitter and stated that many of the film’s technicians, makeup artists and costume designers had not received proper remunerations from Anil Sharma’s production. She also wrote that the production house didn’t provide transport to certain cast and crew members to Chandigarh airport on final day of the shoot and left them stranded. Ameesha added that only Zee Studios came to their rescue since it is a “professional company.”

She wrote, “There were certain queries that many technicians like make up artists, costume designers n others etc did not receive their rightful remuneration and dues from ANIL SHARMA PRODUCTIONS!!Yes they did not !! But  @ZeeStudios_  stepped in and made sure all dues were settled as they are a v professional company!.”

The actor added, “Yes from accommodation, to transport to Chandigarh airport on the final day to food bills were left unpaid and cars were not provided to certain cast and crew members leaving them stranded ! But yet again  @zeestudios  stepped in and corrected these issues caused by ANIL SHARMA PRODUCTIONS!!!”

Anil Sharma had also helmed the prequel Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001)The film’s sequel, after 22 years, will see Sunny Deol reprise his role as Tara Singh and Ameesha will be seen again as his wife Sakeena. The film is slated to be released on August 11.
