Story of Things - Sony Liv (January 6)

The anthology stars Vinoth Kishan, Anshita Anand, Aditi Balan, Gautami Tadimalla, Arjun Radhakrishnan, and Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, among several others. The anthology follows a series of strange films of people & things; that explore Human Stories & Emotions that blur the lines between real and surreal. 

3Cs -- Sony Liv (January 6)

The series follows three friends--Chaitra, Chandu, and Cat-- who end up crossing paths with gangsters following a drunken adventure and how they experience the three big C’s in life: Choices, Chances, and Changes form the rest of the story. Billed as an action-thriller, the series is directed by Sampath Kumar Thota.

Pale Blue Eye-- Netflix (January 6)

The Scott Cooper directorial, set in 1803, revolves around the murder of a military cadet and investigation into the murder unravels a larger mystery that threatens the entirety of The West Point Academy. Christian Bale plays Augustus Landor, the detective who is working on the case while he is aided by a younger, fictionalised version of Edgar Allan Poe.

Naai Sekar Returns -- Netflix (January 6)

Directed by Suraaj, Vadivelu plays a dog kidnapper who finds himself caught between two gangs led by Anandraj and Rao Ramesh. The film marks the return of the comedian to the big screens after a gap of five years. Vadivelu was last seen in Mersal which was released in 2017.

Saudi Vellakka-- Sony Liv (January 6)

Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the social drama follows the journey of an elderly woman, who pursues a case filed against her for many years. The film stars Devi Varma, Lukman, Binu Pappu, Gokulan, Dhanya Ananya, Nilja K Baby, Vincy Aloshious, Remya Suresh, Sidhartha Siva and Riaa Saira in main roles.

Uunchai-- Zee 5 (January 6)

Uunchai tracks the journey of three elderly friends, Amit (Amitabh Bachchan), Javed (Boman Irani) and Om (Anupam Kher), who decide to trek to the Everest Base Camp to fulfil the wish of their late friend Bhupen (Danny Dengzongpa). 

Taaza Khabar -- Disney+ Hotstar (January 6)

The series stars YouTuber and comedian Bhuvan Bham. The story is about how a conservancy worker's life changes after acquiring magical powers. It is directed by Himank Gaur. 

Copenhagen Cowboy (Prime Video) -- January 5

Created by Nicolas Winding Refn, the crime series' logline reads, "After a lifetime of being sold as a human good luck charm, a woman with mysterious supernatural abilities seeks revenge against those who wronged her."
