London's Heathrow Airport has apologised to veteran Indian actor Satish Shah. Recently, Satish took to Twitter to flag a racist comment he overheard at Heathrow, and his epic response to the same.
Satish, who his known for films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaardo, Kal Ho Naa Ho and the sitcom Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, was travelling to London in first class when he overheard racist comments from the airport staff.
Tweeting about the same, he wrote, "I replied with a proud smile 'because we are Indians' after I overheard the Heathrow staff wonderingly asking his mate - 'how can they afford 1st class'?"
A day after the tweet went viral, Heathrow Airport replied apologising to the actor. “Good morning, we're sorry to hear about this encounter. May you DM us?,” the airport wrote from its official Twitter handle.
Satish Shah last appeared in Humshakals (2014) and the web revival of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai (on Disney+ Hotstar). After a notable absence from Hindi films, he will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan.
