Scam 2003: The Telgi Story

Actor Gagan Dev Riar is set to essay the role of the convicted Indian counterfeiter, Abdul Karim Telgi in Scam 2003: The Telgi Story. The second season of the show tells the story of India's biggest stamp paper scam plotted by Abdul Karim Telgi, which shocked the nation with its unimaginable scale. 

Helmed by Hansal Mehta and directed by Tushar Hiranandani, the series is based on one of India's biggest scams by Abdul Karim Telgi, which shocked the nation with its unimaginable scale. The show also stars Sana Amin Sheikh, Bhavana Balsaver, Bharat Jadhav, J. D. Chakravarthy, Bharat Dabholkar, Shashank Ketkar, Talat Aziz, Nikhil Ratnaparkhi, Vivek Mishra, Hitha Chandrashekhar, Ajay Jadhav and Dinesh Lal Yadav. 

Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with StudioNEXT, Scam 2003: The Telgi Story will drop on September 1 on Sony LIV.

Friday Night Plan

Directed by Vatsal Neelakantan, Friday Night Plan stars Babil Khan and Amrith Jayan and is produced by Excel Entertainment. 

As Siddharth's (Babil Khan) mother (Juhi Chawla) incidentally leaves town for a night, he makes plans with his younger brother played by Amrith, to have one Friday night of fun and party. However, things go haywire as they lose control of the situation. 

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Kassim Jagmagia & Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, this heartwarming story also stars Medha Rana, Aadhya Anand, Ninad Kamath, and Juhi Chawla in a special appearance.

It will premiere on Netflix starting September 1. 

The Freelancer

Avinash Kamath, a former police officer who now works as a mercenary, is on a challenging mission to save Aliya, a young bride who is stuck in war-ravaged Syria amidst the rising threat of ISIS terrorism. The series is based on the bestselling 2017 book, A Ticket to Syria by Shirish Thorat.

The Freelancer, helmed by Mohit Raina, is directed by Bhav Dhulia, and produced by Friday Storytellers and Neeraj Pandey is the creator and show-runner. It also stars veteran actor Anupam Kher, along with Sushant Singh, Kashmira Pardeshi, John Kokken, Gauri Balaji and Navneet Malik, Manjiri Faddnis, Sarah Jane Dias amongst others.

It will air on September 1 on Disney+ Hotstar.

The Wheel of Time Season 2

The American fantasy television series developed by Rafe Judkins is based on the novel series of the same name by Robert Jordan with Brandon Sanderson, Season Two of ‘The Wheel of Time’ finds the show’s beloved characters facing down the deadly threat of the growing darkness, and gives a sneak peek at the introduction of fan favourite book characters such as Elayne Trakand, Aviendha, and Lady Suroth. 

The series stars Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Zoe Robins, and Madeleine Madden in pivotal roles.

It will premiere with the first three episodes in English, with dubs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on Prime Video on September 1.

One Piece

A live-action adaptation of Japan’s highest-selling manga series by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece is a legendary adventure centring around a youthful adventurer, Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy). He aims to become the King of the Pirates by locating the eponymous fabled treasure and assembles a crew for his expedition. Calling themselves the Straw Hat Pirates, the newly formed group sets off to explore the vast expanses of the ocean as they try to evade the Navy, battle rival pirates and fend off unimaginable dangers.

One Piece is now streaming on Netflix.

A Day And A Half

In order to reunite with his daughter, Artan, a disturbed man, bursts into the medical centre where his ex-wife Louise works and takes her hostage at gunpoint. Demanding to be shown the location of their daughter, Artan ventures on a dangerous and emotionally heightened road trip with Louise and a police officer named Lukas. As they journey through rural Sweden with the cops on their heels, the three characters are forced to confront the upheavals in their respective lives. It is written, directed, and starring Fares Fares in his directorial debut along with Peter Smirnakos.

A Day And A Half will stream on Netflix on September 1.

Choose Love

Labelled as the first-ever interactive romantic comedy, Choose Love is the story of Cami Conway, who fears that something is lacking in her relationship with her boyfriend, Paul. Before the couple heads towards marriage, Cami questions if Paul is truly the one. Her dilemma is exacerbated when she meets a British rock star, Rex Galier, and her first lover, Jack Menna, comes back into her life. Faced with innumerable alternatives about her future, Cami must rely on the viewers to make the right choices and guide her to a potentially happy ending.
