Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to unveil an extended teaser of ‘Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya’, the third song from his upcoming actioner Jawan.
In the teaser, we see SRK in black jeans and a vest, topped up with a black shirt and shades. He can be seen matching steps to the beats and swaying. We also see him doing his signature ‘wide-arm’ pose.
Posting the teaser, Shah Rukh also thanked the song’s choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant and the music director Anirudh Ravichander. He also announced that the full song will be released tomorrow (August 29).
“This is ‘Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya….‘ want to thank Vaibhavi Merchant for bearing with my two left feet. And of course the talented Anirudh Ravichander. 'Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya' Full song out tomorrow! Jawan releasing worldwide on 7th September 2023, in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu,” he wrote.
Recently at an Ask Me Anything session on X, amidst increasing expectations from fans, Shah Rukh said that his team is working on a trailer for Jawan. “Ok guys time to go make the trailer as everyone wants that. T Series & Anirudh & Atlee had wanted to put out a song. Will leave a teaser now….& get Antony L Ruben to work on the trailer. Song is….Not …Ramaiya Vastvaiya. Bye for now. Love you all,” he had written.
Previously, two songs from the film have been released by the makers, the peppy ‘Zinda Banda’ and the groovy love ballad, ‘Chaleya’.
Directed by Atlee, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Ridhi Dogra and has a special appearance by Deepika Padukone.
The film will be released in theatres on September 7.
