After the commercial success of the comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Vicky Kaushal is returning to the family entertainer genre with The Great Indian Family. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (Dhoom 3, Thugs of Hindostan), the film is backed by Yash Raj Films.

The film is reportedly set in the heartland of India and will revolve around the madness that ensues within Vicky's family due to some sudden developments that are beyond anyone's control.

The film’s makers took to social media on Monday to share a release date announcement video. The video shows Vicky giving a hilarious take on Indian families. A poster was also released, which shows the actor riding a scooter. The Great Indian Family also stars Manushi Chhillar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra and social media influencer Srishti Dixit among others.

The film is slated to release on September 22.

Apart from this, Vicky will also be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur, which is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the Chief of the Army Staff during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, and the first Indian Army officer to become Field Marshal.
