Shah Rukh Khan on Rajnikanth’s Jailer, Chak De India and messages viewers should take home from Jawan

Shah Rukh Khan did an AskSRK session on Twitter today ahead of his film Jawan’s release. While the actor kept up with his witticisms, he also answered some questions on Jawan’s themes, his favourite song from the film and on Rajnikanth’s latest release Jailer.

When a Twitter user asked the superstar if he is going to watch Jailer, SRK replied, “Of course I love Rajni sir….Maassss!! He had come on Jawan set and blessed us too. #Jawan.” Another asked SRK to name his favourite song from the film to which he answered, “My favourite song is Chaleya from the film. Romantic and sweet and gentle….just like me. @anirudhofficial has excelled. #Jawan.” Composer Anirudh Ravichander has given the music for Jawan.

Shah Rukh also commented on his 2007 sports drama Chak De India completing 16 years. “I remember how lovely the girls were. Aditya and Jaydeep and Sumit were so helpful to make this really beautiful film. One of my all time happy place….” The actor also joked when asked if he fell for Nayanthara while shooting for Jawan. “Chup karo! Doh bacchon ki maa hain woh!! Ha ha (Shut up! She is the mother of two kids!!).” SRK also spoke about the lessons and messages audience will take away after watching the film. “The film has a strong take on women empowerment…how to respect and stand for them,” he wrote.

Jawan, which marks Atlee's Hindi directorial debut, is touted to be an exhilarating rollercoaster ride of emotions, captivating audiences with its adrenaline-pumping action sequences that will push the audience to the edge of their seats. SRK has undergone a drastic change in looks for the film. The film also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra and has a special appearance by Deepika Padukone.

Produced by Gauri Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Jawan will hit the theatres on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
