Karan Johar's recent directorial venture, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, has been minting big at the box office since the film's release on July 28. At the end of the second weekend, the film entered the 100 crores club, minting a total of Rs 105.8 crores.
The film, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead, made Rs 45.90 crore in its first weekend. In seven days, the film bagged Rs Rs 73.33 crore, with Rs 6.75 crore on Day 8 and Rs 11.50 crore on Day 9, and Rs 14. 22 on Day 10, taking the total to Rs 105.8 crores.
Apart from Ranveer and Alia, the film also stars veterans Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan. Its supporting cast includes Tota Roy Choudhury, Anjali Anand, Churni Ganguly and Kshitee Jog, among others.
The film marks Karan's return to the director's chair after seven years. The story and screenplay of the film are penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy.
