Prime Video released the trailer of the second season of Made in Heaven on Tuesday, at a grand event. During the event, one of the directors of the show, Reema Kagti revealed the reason behind why it took so long for them to come up with the show's second season.

She said, "The reason we took a lot of time to come up with season 2 is because we were pushing the envelope with regard to the show's writing. Crafting a compelling narrative and characters does take time. The more detailed the writing is, the more engaging the content turns out to be on the screen."

She added that the COVID-19 pandemic was also a catalyst. "Covid pandemic did disrupt the production and post-production. But, we made our way around that and we are glad to bring forth the second season for all loyal fans of the show."

Made in Heaven stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz, Shashank Raghuvanshi and Shashank Arora in lead roles. Ishwak Singh, Trinetra Haldar and Mona Singh are the newest additions to the cast.

Alankrita Shrivastava, Neeraj Ghaywan, Nitya Mehra, Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar are the directors of the series, which is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Media & Entertainment and Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s Tiger Baby.

Made in Heaven S2 will premiere on Prime Video on August 10, and will have 7 episodes.
