Comedian Rohan Joshi is facing the wrath of social media users after his comment on Raju Srivastava’s demise. Raju passed away on Wednesday at AIIMS during treatment. He was being treated thereafter he suffered a cardiac arrest on August 10.

Comedian Atul Khatri posted a condolence note for Raju on his Instagram account. Sharing a photo of the late comic, Atul wrote, “You were such an inspiration to so many. Whenever you went on stage you lit it up. Your presence was such that when people just saw you there was an automatic smile on their faces. You will be truly missed A big loss for the Indian Stand-up Comedy scene #RajuSrivastav.”

Taking to the comments section Rohan wrote “We haven’t lost a thing. Whether it was Kamra whether it was the roast or any comic in the news, Raju Srivastav took every opportunity he ever got to shit on newer comics especially after the new wave of stand up started.”

He also accused Raju of calling modern stand-up offensive only because he “couldn’t understand it.”

“He went on every news channel every time he was invited to go ****on an upcoming art form and call it offensive just because he couldn’t understand it and new stars were rising. He might have told a few good jokes but he understood nothing about the spirit of comedy or defending someone’s right to say something even if you don’t agree. Fuck him and good riddance,” added the former AIB member.

The comments didn’t sit well with social media users. One wrote, “Holy **** this is real. No words. #RohanJoshi is absolutely pathetic.” Another wrote, “Bloody He Can’t Do Anything & Bitching About Other. First Look At Yourself Mr. #RohanJoshi You’re Bloody Psycho. You Need A Doctor. Rascal.” Rohan later deleted the comment.

Raju suffered a cardiac arrest on August 10 while running on a treadmill in a hotel. He was put on the ventilator and went through angioplasty and his health status reportedly fluctuated from better to worse during this period. After being in the ICU for a little more than a month, he was announced dead.
