Ranbir-Alia pregnancy: From Karan Johar to Gal Gadot, wishes pour in for the couple

Alia Bhatt posted a photo of her undergoing sonography, “Our baby.... coming soon,” read the caption

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt took to Instagram on Monday to announce that they are expecting a baby. Alia shared a picture where she is seen undergoing sonography with Ranbir, who is back turned, by her side. The screen of the monitor is blurred with a heart symbol. She also shared a picture of a lion family. "Our baby ..... coming soon," Alia wrote. 

The happy news has garnered many reactions from the couple’s family and the industry alike. From Alia’s sister Shaheen Bhatt to filmmakers Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir’s sister Riddhima, everyone congratulated the couple on the special occasion. Alia’s Heart of Stone co-star, Gal Gadot, commented with a heart emoji on the former's post. 

“So much love for them! My baby is going to be a mother! I can’t express my feeling... so so so excited! Love you Both,” wrote Karan while sharing the couple's picture on his Instagram story. Shaheen posted a throwback photo of the couple on her Instagram and wrote, “Mom and Dad.

Many others commented on Alia’s post to shower blessings on the couple. “Congratulations Mama and Papa lion,” wrote Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan. Rakul Preet Singh, Tiger Shroff, Parineeti Chopra, Mouni Roy, Ishaan Khatter and Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Kriti Sanon, Sonu Sood were some of the celebrities who congratulated Ranbir and Alia. 

It may be noted that the actors tied the knot on April 14 this year. They had reportedly started dating on the sets of Ayan’s Brahmastra. The film is slated for release on September 9 this year.
