Veteran actor Rajeeta Kochhar passed away in Mumbai on Friday, December 23. She was 70.
Rajeeta Kochhar had appeared in popular Hindi television shows like Hatim, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Tantra and Kavach ... Kaali Shaktiyon Se. She began her career in the 1970s, appearing in films like Parwana, Piya Ka Ghar, Rajnigandha and Inkaar. She featured in various television serials in the new millennium, with only a handful of film credits. Her last film appearance was in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019).
According to reports, the cause of her death was renal failure. She was put on a ventilator as her health had deteriorated after suffering a stroke last year. She is survived by her husband Rajesh Kochhar and daughter Kapisha.
