Pitchers S2 trailer: The entrepreneurs level up from ‘beer’ to ‘whisky’

After a gap of over seven years and multiple speculations, the acclaimed comedy-show Pitchers is returning for a second season. The trailer of the TVF show dropped recently and shows the entrepreneurs Navin (Naveen Kasturia), Yogi (Arunabh Kumar) and Saurabh (Abhay Mahajan), 2.5 years after the start of their tech company Pragati AI.

The trailer opens up with Yogi on a phone call with Navin who is asking him to suit up for a pitch. The startup has now grown into a 25-member team and is in need of investors to take them to the next level. Ridhi Dogra is introduced as a venture capitalist, bridging the gap between startups and the big bad world of corporate. Jitendra Kumar’s absence from the series is also addressed and it seems a new CTO for the company is on the cards. The iconic ‘Tu Beer Hain’ line by Bhati (Abhishek Banerjee) too gets a cheeky spin.

“Pitchers will always be special to me,” said Naveen. “Adulation from fans and their love didn’t die down all these years. They were persistent at asking us to come back with another season and we had to give in. While S1 was about taking that leap of faith and leaving our jobs to start our own company, S2 is about dreaming bigger and taking our start-up to the next level.”

 Talking about the show, Aditya said, “Pitchers is a prime example of a simple, relatable story of four guys leaving their day jobs and starting their own business, however, how it is told is what makes it inspiring, entertaining and engaging.”

Arunabh Kumar, Abhay Mahajan, Naveen Kasturia, Abhishek Banerjee, and Gopal Dutt are returning from the original cast. They will be joined by Ridhi Dogra, Sikander Kher, and Ashish Vidyarthi as the new entrants. Directed by Vaibhav Bundhoo, Pitchers 2 will start streaming on ZEE5 from December 23.
