Comedian and actor Raju Srivastava gained consciousness on Thursday after being in the hospital for 15 days. Raju was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi after he suffered a heart attack while running on a treadmill at a Delhi hotel.
According to a report by ANI, and as stated by his personal secretary Garvit Narang, Raju is being monitored by doctors at AIIMS Delhi and his health condition is improving.
Earlier, a source close to Raju had said that the comedian is “almost brain dead”. However, Raju's brother Dipoo had denied the news and had issued a public statement through a video message, where he said, "He is a fighter and will soon come back winning the battle and will entertain everyone with his comedy."
On Sunday, the comedian’s friend and actor Shekhar Suman took to Twitter to give a health update on the comedian. He had written, “Today’s update on Raju according to his family members…his organs are functioning normally. Though still unconscious, doctor says he is supposedly improving steadily. Mahadev ki kripa. Har Har Mahadev.”
