Raju Srivastava's health has improved but the actor-comedian is still on ventilator. Raju suffered a cardiac arrest while working out in a gym last week. He was rushed to AIIMS hospital in New Delhi where he underwent angioplasty. He's been on life support for six days and can finally move his body parts. However, it will take him about a week to regain consciousness.

"Raju’s condition is slowly getting better," the artist’s manager Nayan Soni was quoted as saying by PTI.

"He is responding to the treatment. There is an improvement in his health and he can now move his body parts a bit. He continues to remain in the ICU and on ventilator. Doctors have informed that it will take about a week for him to regain consciousness."

After several acting stints in the late-80s and 90s, Raju Srivastava shot to fame as a stand-up comic on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He was loved for his observational humour and impressive mimicry skills. In 2009, Raju appeared in Bigg Boss 3, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, but did not win. He continued to act in films and joined the BJP in 2014.
