Ayan Mukerji has shared a series of images from Brahmastra, his upcoming superhero fantasy film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Two of the pictures depict a Durga Puja setting. In another, a long-haired figure holds a trident before a blue screen. A fourth picture has Ranbir and Amitabh Bachchan receiving directions from Ayan.

Sharing the images, Ayan teased expectations with the words #steppingoutofacocoon and #thetimefeelsright. His comment section is buzzing with fans requesting the film to be released soon.

The first of a planned trilogy, Brahmastra has been delayed for long. The film, which pairs Ranbir with Alia, had 2019 and 2020 release plans. However, it was indefinitely postponed due to the pandemic.

Earlier this year, Telugu actor Nagarjuna wrapped up his portions for the film. The actor essays an archaeologist in the story.

Brahmastra is written by Ayan and Hussain Dalal. The film also has Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in key roles.
