Trailer for Anya Taylor-Joy's Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is out 

Warner Bros. Pictures dropped the trailer for the upcoming post-apocalyptic film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, starring Anya Taylor-Joy as the titular character.

Furiosa serves as both a spin-off and a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), as well as the fifth film in the Mad Max franchise. Directed by George Miller, who earlier helmed the franchise's second and third instalments, in the upcoming film, Anya will be portraying the young version of Charlize Theron's character in Fury Road. Miller also penned the script with Mad Max: Fury Road co-writer Nico Lathouris.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, and Daniel Webber. Nathan Jones and Angus Sampson reprise their roles as Rictus Erectus and The Organic Mechanic from Fury Road.

The film's official description reads, " As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus.  Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home".

The film will hit the theatres in May 2024.
