Disenchanted trailer: A fairytale life is not what it seems  

Disney has released the first official trailer for their upcoming live-action fantasy film Disenchanted. The film is a sequel to the musical romantic comedy titled Enchanted which was released in 2007. While the original film was directed by Kevin Rupert Lima, the sequel is directed by Adam Shankman and based on a screenplay written by Brigitte Hales. Shankman is best known for directing films like Rock of Ages and A Walk to Remember

The trailer shows Giselle moving out of the city with her husband Robert to start a new life in the suburbs. She is overwhelmed with the mundane of everyday life and longs for a fairytale life. When King Edward and Queen Nancy visit the couple and give them a magical wand, Giselle wishes for a fairytale life which quickly gets out of hand. 

The film stars Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel who will be reprising their roles from the original film. They will be joined by new cast members Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Oscar Nunez, and Griffin Newman. Alan Menken, who composed the music for the original film, returns for the film. He will also co-write the songs with Stephen Schwartz, who also worked on the first film. Disenchanted is currently scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 18 November 2022.
