The trailer of 1883, the prequel to the critically acclaimed Paramount+ series Yellowstone was released on December 3. The show created by Taylor Sheridan, who also worked as the co-creator of Yellowstone, is slated to release on December 19.

The TV series will delve into the backstory of the Dutton family's wealth and ownership of their massive ranch in Montana. 1883 will see the Dutton family lay claim to uncharted land and work towards a fresh start as well. The trailer hints that there will be a lot of bloodshed in the family's attempt to own land that did not belong to them.

This trailer also features shootouts, war with the Indigenous Americans, and wagon chases. It also put Tim McGraw's character on center stage. He is ready to kill, maim, and hurt, as long as it ensured the safety of his family. In a voice-over, he also says that he will continue to travel up north until he finds a country that he feels is worth their journey.

The series stars Sam Elliott, McGraw, Faith Hill, Billy Bob Thornton, Isabel May, and Lamonica Garrett.

1883 is produced by 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions. The series is executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari.
