The upcoming Gen Z musical thriller, Dead at 27, starring Selma Blair (Hellboy), Sierra McCormick (American Horror Stories), Dylan Playfair (Letterkenny), and Logan Miller (Escape Room), has concluded production.
The K Asher Levin-directed film will feature acting and music from recording artists Iann Dior, Tommy Genesis, and Kya Hansen (popularly known by her stage name bludnymph).
Written by Levin and Zack Imbrogno, cinematographer Andy Chen, and editors Alex Rodriguez and Raul Toledo are part of the Dead at 27 technical crew. The film is produced by Levin, Henry Boger, Michael May, and Ashleigh Snead.
Dead at 27 follows a reclusive pop icon who resurfaces on discovering a new addictive sound that results in a generation of fans falling under her spell. The makers describe the film as a "hallucinatory descent into the world of music and pop culture."
In addition to the Hellboy franchise, Blair has also starred in Cruel Intentions and Legally Blonde. Her upcoming films include Silent and There There.
