With the third season of their ongoing Netflix series Nobody Wants This released last Thursday, showrunners Erin and Sara Foster are setting up their next series for Hulu. Their upcoming project is an adaptation of Sarah MacLean's 2025 novel These Summer Storms.
The drama, which is also titled after the novel, will be written by Melanie Marnich. These Summer Storms is about Alice Storm, who was expelled from her family and its magnificent private island because she built her life and influence beyond the Storm name. However, her larger-than-life father's shocking death changes everything.
Praising the Foster sisters and scribe Marnich, author MacLean said she is thrilled to bring These Summer Storms to the screen. "The team's vision for the show, combined with Melanie Marnich's brilliant writing, has made the whole project a dream come true." She serves as an executive producer alongside the Foster sisters and Montana McBirney.
Nobody Wants This, in which Erin serves as the creator, writer, and executive producer along with Sara, stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. The third season shot to the top of Netflix's daily US rankings upon release.
